Our Mission Statement
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hermitage Foundation is a 501(c) 3 Not for Profit Organization formed by devoted Traditional Catholics to generate support for the initiation of a traditional Carmelite Hermitage. This Carmel - as a semi- eremitical community of Sisters - will have as their primary contemplative apostolate: loving Adoration of our Blessed Eucharistic Lord and a life of reparation to him for the neglects, abuses and injuries He receives in our wounded Church and in our modern world
To give consolation to the Heart of Jesus
The palpitating Eucharistic Heart of Jesus is a true Heart resplendent with deep emotional feeling and an exquisitely delicate sensibility. Jesus Christ yearns to be loved and the neglects, injuries and forgetfulness of mankind wound HIM deeply... Christ therefore deserves to have a chosen few set aside ( which is the very meaning of the word "consecrated") to assuage the thirst HE has to be deeply loved. These virginal lovers of HIS Sacred Heart who will with, delicate bridal affection, make unceasing reparation to HIM in adoration, vigils, and a penitential life of supplication for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of souls. For it is a great balm of reparation to Christ to draw souls back to HIM and to HIS service. That is the essential contemplative focus for which Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Hermitage is being instituted.
Preserving the Traditions of Carmelite life

Throughout the history of the Church and of the world, when overall renewal was needed and return to right- living in the moral adherence to Catholic values throughout society as a whole had become vital, it was through the decrees of Divine Providence that such an effect was to come about through the renewal of Consecrated Religious Life. By returning to our first principles of Carmelite life: Divine contemplation, solitude, silence, generous penance in a spirit of loving reparation, all in the context of a joyful bond of fraternal charity, we hope to renew the Heart of the Church by first renewing ourselves, in the authentic spirit of Carmel. All of this was the life of the first Hermits upon the desert mountains of Palestine. Fire from Heaven is the Divine answer. Just as our Holy Father Saint Elijah called down this enkindling to set ablaze his sacrificial offering to the Lord, we also -as his daughters -desire to take up the standard beneath the Banner of Our Lady, Queen and Beauty of Carmel.
